Molly McCloskey

Molly McCloskey is a fiction writer, essayist, and journalist. She is the author of two short story collections and two novels, as well as the memoir Circles Around the Sun: In Search of a Lost Brother. Her novel, When Light is Like Water, was published in 2017 in the UK by Penguin, and will be published in the US in 2018 by Scribner under the title Straying. Her work has appeared in the Irish Times, the Dublin Review, the Guardian, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and elsewhere. She has also worked in the field of international development in the UN’s Kenya-based Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs for Somalia, and has written on humanitarian and human rights issues in Somalia, Sri Lanka, and Kosovo.
