Adela Pineda Franco

Adela Pineda Franco is Lozano Long Endowed Professor in Latin American Literary and Cultural Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on the relationship between culture and politics, the dynamics of cultural transfer, and the transnational impact of visual media on Latin American literature. Her recent monograph, The Mexican Revolution on the World Stage: Intellectuals and Film in the Twentieth Century, addresses the global significance of the Mexican revolution in the twentieth century by exploring the links between cinema and intellectual thought.
