Julie Park is the author of two books on the history of subjectivity and visual and material culture in 18th-century England: My Dark Room: Spaces of the Inner Self in Eighteenth-Century England (University of Chicago Press, 2023) and The Self and It: Novel Objects in Eighteenth-Century England (Stanford University Press, 2010). She is the Paterno Family Librarian for Literature and a professor of English at Penn State University.
