Mikkel Borch-Jacobsen

Mikkel Borch-Jacobsen is Professor Emeritus of Comparative Literature and French at the University of Washington. His books in English include The Freudian Subject (1989); Lacan, The Absolute Master (1991); The Emotional Tie. Psychoanalysis, Mimesis, and Affect (1993); Remembering Anna 0.: A Century of Mystification (1996); Making Minds and Madness (2009); The Freud Files. An Inquiry into the History of Psychoanalysis (2011, in collaboration with Sonu Shamdasani); Freud’s Patients. A Book of Lives (2021); Freud’s Thinking. An Introduction (forthcoming). He is also the co-author with Anne Georget of the documentary Branding Illness (2011).
